Good reason to own a Mobile Phone: If you lock your keys in the car and the spare keys are at home which is far away from your car and it is difficult to go at home by foot, call someone at home from your mobile phone . Here we give three methods to free more ram on your mobile phone.
Method 1: Flight mode:
Put your phone in “Flight mode” with Psiloc System Tools. Install System Tools, open it and select “Flight mode”. This way you can restart the phone without your SIM card so there will be no running phone tasks in the background. Now you can have up to 3,5 MB of free RAM!
Note: ironically enough, Flight mode doesn’t work when Smart Launcher is installed, at least in my case. But i’ve also heard several reports of people who have both apps running without any problems.
Method 2: Smart Launcher trick:
Install Smart Launcher and open it. Go to Options, Settings and put Launcher ON.
Now plug in your charger and switch off your phone. Wait until the battery meter appears and short press the Menu button (don’t hold).
The menu should appear and now you can have 3,5 to 4,5 MB free RAM! (Hold Menu button to check RAM).
The trick is that with the charger plugged in, the phone must get a minimum software support for charging, even when the phone is switched off. And somehow Smart Launcher has still got it’s shortcut running and that’s the Menu button. So when you press the Menu button, you go directly to the Menu without any other phone tasks running in the background so you trick the phone and you have more free RAM! Note: when you unplug the charger, the phone will switch off.
Method 3: Menu :
This method I found it by myself, it frees a little about 100~200 KB but I guess it’s useful sometime
Close your menu not by selecting the right selection key “exit”, or pressing the menu key another time, they only hide the menu app but do not close it, to close it select the left selection key “option” and scroll down and select “exit”
So when you open an app needs more ram reopen menu and close it, it’s useful when play low bit rate video in real player paradise.
How to reset memory of your mobile phone. What is soft and hard reset of mobiles.
A Soft-reset - the process of resetting all the settings of the phone to the factory default! No applications are deleted!
A Hard-reset is like formatting a drive! It does format the memory. Everything that has been installed after the first use of the phone is deleted! It will recover the memory of the phone to the state you purchased it! It is done by inputing the following code: *#7370# NOTE: The battery must be full or the charger has to be connected to the phone so that it does not run out of power and make the phone unusable.
How to totally format your Nokia 3650 and remove all installed applications, user files and restore all
settings to default like it’s new out of the box? (OEM apps won’t be deleted like Camera and RealOne Player).
First Format your MMC: Menu > Extras > Memory > Options > Format mem. card > Yes.
Note: It is very important to format your MMC before you format your phone!
Then format your phone by typing *#7370# on main Phone screen.
Phone will ask: “Restore all original phone settings? Phone will restart.” Press ‘Yes’ and enter your Lock code (default is 12345).
Tip: Formatting takes several minutes so you’d better connect your Nokia 3650
to a charger to ensure that your battery doesn’t get empty in the middle of formatting.
Note: All your created acces points and mailboxes will be lost so take a note of them. And all application settings will be reset.
E.g. In Camera, image quality is set back to normal and memory in use is set back to phone memory. And also in Messages,
memory in use is set back to phone memory, etc. Also backup your contacts with PC Suite or a program like Contacts Manager.
To reset your wallet, should you forget your code,

Have your mobile stolen ? Don’t worry, he who has stolen your mobile can’t even sell your stolen mobile if you read this article carefully.
Simply write down on your mobile phone following code.
To check your Mobile Phone’s Serial number, key in the following digits on your phone:All mobile phone users should keep a note of their handset’s serial number (known as the ‘IMEI’), as it’s very handy if the phone is lost or stolen. The number can normally be found under the battery (looking something like 004400/01/123456/7).
You can also get this number from the phone software, by entering following usefull code
Simply write down on your mobile phone following code.
* # 0 6 #
A 15 digit code will appear on the screen after pressing send button, or in some phones it comes automatically just by writing above given code. . This Number is unique to your Handset. Write it down and keep it somewhere safe. Should your phone get stolen, you can phone your service provider and give them this code. They will then be able to block your handset so even if the thief changes the SIM card, your phone will be totally useless. You probably won’t get your phone back, but at least you know that whoever stole it can’t use/sell it either. If everybody does this, there would be no point in people stealing mobile phones
So, now that you have bought a new cell phone, you must be wondering what talk plan to choose? With all companies pitching in to woo you, it is important to choose only once you have identified your needs and pocket.
Your calling plan will decide the minimum amount you will have to pay to the service provider in a month. It’s like an agreement that you make to use your phone for certain amount of time each month. Keep in mind the options available to you before choosing a talk plan.
TECHNOLOGY In India, we use the digital network specified as GSM 900 (Global Systems for Mobile communications). The digital standard, including CDMA, TDMA and GSM platforms, allows for more callers to at the same time, occupy space on each of a service provider’s cells, making it the superior choice for highly populated or metropolitan areas. Disadvantages to digital systems are their lack of unified technology and a small, metropolitan-focused calling area.
SERVICE AREA Ask yourself. Do you want a cellular phone for emergency use? Will you be using your phone/service around town? Travel a lot? Planning a coast-to-coast?
Whether local, National or International you’ll want to choose a calling plan that encompasses the physical boundaries of your calling needs. While using your cell phone on an occasional trip away from home may add extra roaming or long-distance fees to your bill. National plans, are more expensive than local plans, but will give you the freedom to call regardless of your geographical location.
CALLING PLAN OPTIONS Caller ID, three-way calling, voice-mail, numeric paging, call forwarding and Internet access are just some of the great options offered to calling plan subscribers.
Use the night-time advantage: Service providers often give away bundles of night time and weekend minutes for mere sums of money, maximizing your talk time value. 9 to 9 landline charges, low call charges, cheaper sms etc. are some of the cool features available.
Know your home coverage area: This is very important, if you don’t want to be presented with a bill showing astronomical roaming charges. If you know you are out of the service area at any point then limit your calls to only the most essential.
Understand all the features of your plan: Familiarize yourself with all the features included in your plan and make sure you know what you’re getting in exchange for extra fees.
SIM CARDS-the key to mobile communications Subscriber Identity Module, or a SIM card is the key to European and Asian mobile communications, the digital equivalent of an ID card. All the information about the service you subscribe to, your plan details, your phone number, etc. are stored in this thin, credit card-like unit. It’s placed in the handset to activate the phone and your service.
A SIM card contains integrated chips that extend its intelligence and capabilities by leaps and bounds. Apart from being able to store your entire phone directory, this smart card provides access to a whole range of applications such as short message service, mobile banking, and even the mobile Internet. Your phone becomes personalised and user-friendly.
The big advantage from a user’s point of view is the great flexibility of SIM cards. When traveling, you don’t need to carry your phone, just take the card. Rent a phone from the airport once you arrive, slip the card in the phone and you are again connected to the world, with the same phone number.
Each card has an authentication code, a password or a PIN, specific to your service provider, which ensures that only you are using the card. GSM’s encryption technology is fairly advanced and is considered to be one of the most secure technologies in mobile communications.
PIN / PUK
The SIM Card has a security feature called the PIN / PUK- a four-digit number. You can change this number to any four-digit number of your choice using the handset. Once set, three wrong attempts of entering the PIN / PUK can get the SIM card blocked temporarily. It now requires the Master PIN / PUK number to unblock the SIM. Generally ten wrong attempts to enter the PUK number can get the SIM card blocked permanently and it will require a SIM exchange.
SIM CARD CARE The SIM Card can be permanently damaged, if
It is frequently or roughly inserted or removed.
The wrong side is inserted or removed.
It is bent or twisted.
It is scratched or written upon.
Anything is stuck on it.
It is exposed to extreme temperatures or magnetic fields.
Your SIM Card can be used with any compatible GSM 900 MHz phone.
